Reachel Edwards, born in Illinois, raised on a farm in Washington State her entire life, has a love for nature and serving others. Growing up in a farming community, learning the value of a dollar at a very young age and how helping others through hard work and grit was something that brought her joy and the feeling of accomplishment. Keeping in the spirit of service and hard work, Reachel joined the U.S. Army and went on to have a successful 23-year career in the Military Police Corps, Assisting, Protecting and Defending our country, Soldiers, Civilians and Family Members. She has led and advised at every level from Team Leader to First Sergeant to include rounding out her career as the Provost Sergeant of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii until her retirement in 2016. During her career, Reachel was selected to be a Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, leading our men and women during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, then nominated and selected to be the first female Non-Commissioned Officer as an instructor and the Senior Enlisted Advisor in the Department of Military Instruction (DMI) at the United States Military Academy.
After her career in the military, Reachel continued in her service by becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate in San Antonio, Texas. It has always been and will always be in her nature to be the voice for others. Struggling to be her own voice and finding herself in the dark, Reachel knew she needed a light. In March of 2023 Reachel attended the Warrior PATHH program where she realized she had the light the entire time, it just needed to be reignited. Warrior PATHH gave her the practices she needed to do just that. Keeping that flame lit, Reachel found a new passion and was able to return to a life of service and in October 2023 became the Director of Programs for Eagle Oak and now serves as the Director of Programs for BCF-Texas.
