Ruth Barrow

National Logistics Manager

Ruth serves as the Logistics Manager for Struggle Well, bringing a commitment to supporting first responders, inspired in part by her husband’s service. She previously spent 22 years teaching general business at a state college in Florida, where she served in multiple roles including full-time faculty, assistant chairperson, student advisor, program coordinator, and adjunct instructor. A lifelong advocate for the transformative power of education, Ruth has dedicated her career to helping others grow personally and professionally. Ruth attended a 5-day Struggle Well class that she found personally life-changing—an experience that strengthened her desire to help others benefit from Boulder Crest Foundation’s science of posttraumatic growth.

Before her work in higher education, Ruth spent 14 years in the financial services industry in corporate and operational planning, project services, financial operations accounting, budgeting, and cost accounting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Miami; an MBA from Florida International University; a graduate certificate in community college education from the University of Central Florida; and a graduate certificate in global strategic communication from the University of Florida.

Outside of work, Ruth enjoys baking, quilting, reading, and spending time with her husband, adult children, granddaughter, and Airedale Terrier. She also serves her community as a volunteer at her church’s supper program.
