Affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Chen is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing and an affiliate faculty at Health Psychology and Gerontology. With a background in psychology and mathematics, he has conducted extensive research on the psychology of religion and spirituality, health and wellbeing, and applied quantitative methods. Chen has collaborated with researchers from various countries, including Tibet, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the United States, to explore topics such as mysticism, positive psychology, and beliefs and values. His interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approach to research reflects his passion for global collaboration and advancing knowledge in these areas.
