Anna Ortega Bechara Ph.D.

Affiliated with the University of Sinú, Bechara is the President of the Colombian Association of Positive Psychology and Director of the Florecer Institute of Happiness Sciences. She leads the Iflor research group at the University of Sinú and is a member of the General Assembly of the same university. As Colombia’s director of the Building Forgiving Communities Around the World project, she has conducted extensive fieldwork with over 3,000 victims of the conflict and over 14,000 university students, exploring topics like forgiveness, well-being, spirituality, hope, anxiety, stress, and depression. Andrea’s research findings have been published alongside world leaders in positive psychology.
