David Shearer Ph.D.

Affiliated with Uniformed Services University, Shearer is a highly accomplished clinical and prescribing psychologist at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) in Washington State. He plays a key role in training family medicine residents in behavioral health and psychopharmacology and serves as the primary psychopharmacological consultant and prescriber in the family medicine clinics. Additionally, Dr. Shearer holds various academic appointments, including at Alliant International University, the Uniformed University of Health Sciences, and the University of Washington. His research interests include the integration of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, prescribing psychology in primary care, and the development of prescribing psychology in the military
