Ken Taylor

Facilities Maintenance Technician

Ken was born and raised in rural Washington State working many construction trades until he ran his own landscape and construction company for 10 years. Having grown up with Joint Base Lewis-McChord in his backyard, a long history of family service in nearly all branches of military, and being a member of the National Guard, he felt the call to serve his country and joined the US Army to serve in the Bosnian War and in Korea. Upon his honorable discharge in 2004, Ken relocated to Fort Huachuca so he could continue serving as an instructor and course developer for Intelligence Analysis, involvement in local government service, and a fulfilling contract to support US Border Patrol surveillance and detection operations.

Ken’s true hobbies and passions have always been rooted in helping others, building, creating, and fixing things with an artistic flare. He is best described as a jack of all trades and has a true passion to preserve and improve upon the historical significance of Boulder Crest Arizona so that each visitor will be free to truly enjoy the beauty and all that the retreat has to offer.

Ken joined the Boulder Crest Foundation team in January 2020 and resides on site with his wife Rena now that their four children have started their own lives. They operate well as a team, supporting each other to maintain facilities so your visit at Boulder Crest Arizona is as relaxing and peaceful as possible.
