Lesta is a fourth-generation Pinedale native who has devoted decades to serving her community. Since 2006, she has been an EMT-Intermediate with Sublette County EMS. Additionally, Lesta has volunteered for eleven years with Tip Top Search and Rescue, specializing in high-angle, short-haul, medical, and swift water rescues.
Lesta has been a First Aid and CPR instructor with the American Heart Association for thirty-two years, ensuring community members are prepared to respond to emergencies. She has also dedicated fifteen years as a Red Cross Swim instructor, teaching vital water safety skills.
When Lesta is not engaged in public safety or community work, she enjoys spending time outdoors. Her favorite activities include hiking, camping, golfing, and gardening, reflecting her appreciation for nature and active living.
Family holds the highest importance for Lesta. She and her husband, Loran, have four sons—Steven, Zack, Ethan, and Skyler—and five grandchildren, with a sixth on the way. Lesta’s family has a strong tradition of military service: her father and son Ethan served in the United States Marine Corps, her grandfather and uncle served in the Army, and another uncle and three cousins served in the Air Force. This legacy of service is a source of pride for Lesta and her family and what has led her to a lifelong commitment to helping others.
