Rosemary Pinney

Grants Manager

Rosemary, a lifelong writer passionate about empowering others, spent 30 years with the federal government delivering top-tier intelligence to the President, managing national security assessments, teaching analytic tradecraft, and fostering partnerships. Her move to Boulder Crest reflects her dedication to helping others grow through communication and connection. She is grateful for the opportunity to bring her experience to bear as a grant manager in support of the Foundation’s mission.

Rosemary’s deep connection to the communities that Boulder Crest serves is rooted in her family’s service. She has two sons in the Army, one in the Navy, a daughter who became an ER nurse after serving as an EMT in college, and a son-in-law who is a firefighter and SWAT medic in Virginia. One of her daughters-in-law is an Army captain serving overseas. Rosemary’s husband, an Army veteran, served in the 3rd US Infantry, “The Old Guard,” at Arlington National Cemetery, and her father was a Korean War veteran and long-time police officer.

Rosemary hails from Philadelphia. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature and Russian Language and Literature from Bryn Mawr College and a Master’s in Russian Area Studies from Georgetown University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Writing and Rhetoric at George Mason University, exploring theory and practice of empathy in feedback. An extended trip to Ireland tops her bucket list.
