Affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine, Peitrza is a prominent researcher and professor with expertise in the psychosocial and genetic epidemiology of traumatic stress, resilience, and stress-related psychopathology. He serves as the Director of the Translational Psychiatric Epidemiology Laboratory at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD and holds faculty positions at Yale University School of Medicine and Yale School of Public Health. His work sheds light on the effects of stress on cognition and mental well-being across the lifespan.
