Todd Malloch

PATHH Guide

Todd Malloch was raised in Newark, Delaware. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1984. Todd’s family had a long history of military service from great grandfathers to great uncles. His grandfather was a Navy veteran and served in WWII and his father was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Wanting to continue that family history of military service, Todd joined the Army in 1985.

Todd went on to serve for 36 years of combined service between regular Army, Army National Guard (M-Day) and Active Guard Reserve (AGR) with the Army National Guard. The majority of Todd’s service was as an Infantryman 11H/11B in Airborne, light Infantry, and mechanized units from PVT to 1SG. He also served as a Recruiter/Career Counselor and various staff positions in Operations/Intelligence, Logistics, and Human Resources before he retired in February 2022.

Upon returning from a deployment to Iraq 2007-2008, Todd started to experience an increase of physical and emotional reactions in his daily life. After several years of trying to figure it out by himself, a few failed attempts at counseling and therapy, he was referred to the Warrior PATHH program.

After completing the Warrior PATHH program in February of 2022, Todd’s perspective on life shifted when he realized that trying to erase his 36 year military career meant he was erasing part of himself.  He used this new found awareness as an opportunity to rebuild himself by making amends with his past and other soldiers struggling with traumas that he once overlooked due to his own denial.

Todd enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, son, and 2 grandchildren. He also enjoys fishing, camping, pickleball and grilling on his Big Green Egg.
