Christopher Crane

Master Trainer

Chris grew up in the eastern badlands of Montana during the oil boom of the nineteen hundred and seventies. He learned at an early age how to think outside of the box in order to survive with very little and get as much out of life as possible. Loving to hunt and fish, he fell in love with nature and all it has to offer. As a domestic violence survivor, Chris always wanted to be “Superman”, so that he could serve and protect those who couldn’t, so naturally, he set his sights on Law Enforcement. At the age of 19 he strapped on his first gun belt, vest and badge as a Kootenai County Sheriffs Reserve/Intern while attending North Idaho College in Coeur D’ Alene Idaho. Shortly after graduating college, he spent the time between 19-21yoa as a Cadet for the Spokane Co Sheriff’s Department until he was finally old enough to be commissioned and took his first real job as a Flathead County Sheriff’s Deputy in beautiful Kalispell Montana and became the youngest member of the Flathead County SWAT team. After the birth of his first son, his desire shifted to be a part of a busier agency, and he landed his dream job with the Spokane City Police Department in 1996.

Chris’s second son was born, and Chris did everything “firearms” for SPD, eventually becoming the Range Master for the department and the Regional/State training center/academy, along with numerous other roles. After the suicide of his father (a Navy Veteran), Chris became a Coordinator of the Crisis Intervention Team for SPD and helped develop the co-responder program with Frontier Behavioral Health which is still active today. After retirement in 2017, and the attempted suicide of a close family member, Chris attended WARRIOR PATHH147 at Boulder Crest Sonoita Arizona. There he learned how to stand in congruence with himself and have credibility in the help of others. His wife, Corinna, and their combined 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren, are his driving factor in learning to Thrive. In a challenge to make his own “3-5”, Chris opened the door to his home to a Christian Men’s Group, facilitating what started out as 3, and has turned into nearly 40 men of Faith, sharing their PTG on a weekly basis.

Chris became a Struggle Well Guide, after Tucson PD graciously allowed him to attend as a retired First Responder.  He hit the ground running with the realization of his new mission, to change the culture, which all he and Corinna’s children are members of. Chris and Corinna are looking forward with ambitions to open a non-profit wellness retreat in the panhandle of North Idaho where they can help support BCF and all Warriors, for this community they both love so much. He feels honored today to be a member of the National Struggle Well Team as a Master Guide.
