Randy was born and raised in Port Huron, MI. He joined the Army as a Military Policeman in 1991. Deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia in 1992/93; Parwan Province, Afghanistan in 2003/04; Baghdad, Iraq in 2005/06 and 2008/2009; and lastly to Bagram, Afghanistan for 2012/13. He spent most of his career as a K9 handler/trainer/Kennel Master. He spent his last 3.5 years in Schinnen, Netherlands, supporting NATO. He retired from the military in 2017. After a couple of years of meandering, he decided to attend culinary school at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Boulder, Colorado, from 2020-2022. After graduating, he moved to Montana to work at a ranch for his internship. Shortly after, he returned to Texas and attended Warrior PATHH in Italy, TX. Shortly after that, he started working as a chef for Eagle Oak Retreat. Working as a chef for BoulderCrest allows him to share his love of cooking/food with those who have served. Randy plans on working at BoulderCrest until retirement on the Portuguese Coast. His greatest accomplishment has been spending time as a dad to his son, Atlas Joseph.
